Roy., the pioneering family business in commercial cleaning services in Quebec, proudly celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
Under the leadership of Julie Roy, the third "Roy" to head the company, this milestone highlights a journey rooted in kindness, solidarity, authenticity and proactivity — core values passed down from generation to generation.
An intergenerational community united by strong values
Roy.'s 70th anniversary is a vibrant testament to an intergenerational community that has evolved through the decades while remaining true to the family legacy started in 1954 by Guy Roy, Julie's grandfather, and gradually carried on in the 1970s by her father, Jean-Yves Roy.
Since 2013, Julie has brilliantly balanced growth with core values, building a strong and distinctive employer brand that still so naturally places its employees at the heart of its priorities.
An ongoing commitment to excellence
Since its beginnings, Roy. has always reflected the strength and dedication of the thousands of professionals who have contributed to its remarkable journey. Even today, this unwavering commitment shows up every day through the commercial cleaning services provided to 420 prestigious clients, spread across more than 50 million square feet throughout Quebec.
Ambitious goals for 2024
2024 is the year Roy. continues to grow alongside its clients, while remaining a human, caring company for its 2,800 employees. The mission stays the same: continually investing in its people and their well-being to ensure consistent operational excellence.
It's also in this spirit that Julie Roy is moving forward with determination toward her big dream: revolutionizing the world of commercial cleaning by 2034.
A word from Julie Roy, President and CEO
« It's incredible to think the company is turning 70. Roy. has evolved, but at its core, it's still the same thing. We invest in our people, we believe in our people, because we want to give our clients the best possible service. We have employees celebrating 30 and even 45 years of seniority. Every time I meet them, it touches me to know they knew my grandfather!
I'd like to thank the clients who trust us, especially those who signed their first contract back in my grandfather's time, signed again alongside my father, and are still with the Roy. team today. I always have a special thought for my grandfather, and I feel he would be very proud to see how far we've come. »
