From the age of four, Julie held an ambitious dream: to become president of the family business founded by her grandfather, Guy Roy, and steadily led by her father, Jean-Yves Roy, since 1998.
Inspired by her family's unwavering commitment to the company's growth and prosperity, Julie couldn't wait to join the ranks of this wonderful, big adventure in the making.
From observing to leading Roy.
Julie took an impressive and rewarding path to become the president she is today for her 2,800 employees. Her immersion in the Roy. adventure began long before she was even aware of it, as she closely watched her family's dedication to the company and to the well-being of its employees.
Each of her visits to the Roy. offices was a precious opportunity to absorb the core values that continue to make the company shine today: solidarity, caring, courage, authenticity, and proactivity.
Little by little, Julie didn't just observe passively. She actively got involved in various departments during her school breaks and accompanied her father on client visits to learn the ins and outs of the business and to understand the needs and expectations of staff.
After completing two graduate degrees and gaining significant professional experience, Julie proudly took over the leadership of the family business in 2013. This happened following her father's retirement, turning her childhood dream into reality.

As soon as she rose to the presidency of Roy., Julie surrounded herself with the most qualified experts in their respective fields to form her executive committee. This approach allowed her to benefit from the specialized skills she needed to successfully guide and lead the company.
Thanks to this solid team, Julie has been able to make informed decisions and carry forward the big Roy. dream. In fact, Julie considers this strategic decision to be the best one she has made to ensure the company's prosperity!

For Julie, it was essential that her big growth ambitions never come at the expense of employee well-being or the work started by her grandfather and father to cultivate a caring, family-like spirit within the company.
To expand while preserving Roy.'s DNA, Julie chose the GAZELLES method with the support of a certified coach. This dynamic approach allowed her to move forward with determination toward her big dream: having a positive impact on the lives of 10,000 people by 2035.
A decade later, it's undeniable that Julie has brilliantly paired growth with core values to build a strong, distinctive employer brand that puts her employees at the heart of everything she does.

From Groupe SMR to Roy.
In 2013, under Julie Roy's vision, the family business got a fresh new look by simply becoming Roy., adopting a more modern and dynamic brand image and positioning. This renewed identity has allowed Roy. to remain attractive in the world of recruitment and to pursue increasingly prestigious contracts.
Acquisition of Signature
In 2018, Roy. acquired Signature, its closest competitor with similar values. This significant alliance helped the company grow organically in Quebec and Ontario while positioning Roy. as a leader in the commercial cleaning industry.
Combining our resources, expertise, and passion has strengthened our ability to deliver excellent service to our expanded client base and allowed us to welcome more than 500 people to Roy.
